★ 5.0 on Google · 21 reviewsPrivate · 1-on-1 onlyFirst session free

I'm Gabe Flores. I train one client at a time in a private 908 square foot studio at 102 Stanton Ct in Folsom. This page covers what it costs and what your first session looks like, so you know what you're signing up for before you text me.

Your first session is free

We sit down and talk through your goals and any injuries you've had. Then you do a simple assessment and train for the rest of the hour. I answer whatever questions you have about training. Think of it as an introductory consultation where you also get a workout.

What it costs

You pay for a block of sessions. No membership, no contract.

High-school athletes: $50 a session.

How the weeks work

If you want to sign up, we find a schedule that works for both of us. Most people train 2 to 3 times a week. The majority start with two, and once they've found their groove they move up to three. Your times repeat every week unless something comes up on either end.

Sessions run about an hour. Between them you get take-home workouts and practical meal suggestions.

Who I train

Mostly people in their 40s to 60s who want to get stronger and feel like themselves again. Some have never trained. Some trained for years and stopped.

The main goal is building strength, so you have the energy and the ability to do all the things you love outside the gym.

About your trainer

I've been coaching for 6 years and opened Domain Athletics in 2021. I hold three NASM certifications: Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES).

I've been training myself for the past 10 years. I've done a half triathlon and multiple half marathons, and I've competed in two men's physique shows.

The studio

It's private and by appointment only, with racks, barbells, dumbbells, machines and cardio equipment. You're the only client in the building. Free street parking, just off Blue Ravine Road.

Questions

Is the first session really free?
Yes. You train for a full hour, see the studio, and get an honest read on where you're starting. No card, no pressure to buy.
I've never trained. Is that a problem?
No. We start with a simple introduction to how you use your body, what you should be feeling, how to move, and how to tell when something feels good and when it feels wrong. It's the same rundown I give everyone, so you can walk into any gym with the tools to do well long term.
What if I'm injured?
An injury doesn't mean we skip that area. We find other exercises and methods that let you keep training, and add corrective exercise to build up the surrounding areas and get mobility, flexibility and strength back. The injury does limit what we can do, but there's always another angle to take.
How many sessions a week do I need?
Two a week is where most people see steady progress. 2 to 3 is ideal.
What if I can't make a session?
Give me 24 hours' notice and you won't be charged. If something comes up that you couldn't plan for, like an emergency or a last-minute change, I'm easy about it. You pay for the sessions you use.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. You buy a block of sessions and that's it.
